Thank You, Kickstarters.

We are at the end of our Kickstarter, and we have not been funded. We would sincerely like to thank the 197 people who backed us and all of you who have contributed to spreading the word. The outpouring of love from our fans was incredible and we value it very much.

At this time, we will not be moving forward with STKA as outlined in the kickstarter, and we will continue to make games. Of course we will continue to support the community built around the original Techno Kitten Adventure. In fact, we just released the Nyan Cat pack for iOS, with a brand new song.

Running a Kickstarter can feel like a public chopping block. Even with positive coverage from some of the the highest-profile sides the gaming internet has to offer, and knowing we’ve made a cat game once before, safety is not guaranteed. We’re closing this chapter of our summer looking forward to the next project, and proud of the art we created for Kickstarter. We were able to make the most share-worthy Kickstarter video of all time, now available on YouTube, and we’ve created art that the gaming community has embraced, immortalizing some of our game industry idols in “kitteh” form. Knowing the creativity that lives in this studio, we can’t wait to show you what we’re working on next. Keep an eye on us, our next project is in the works.

Techno Kitten is about the love and happiness that comes from a journey. We’ve put a lot of love into this adventure, and have received a lot of love back. We literally get a new quote from fans every day; in YouTube videos of people playing the game, in tweets and Facebook posts. Every Google alert is a compliment. Knowing that something that we created was enjoyed and valued by another person; this is the ultimate goal of everyone who works in games, of everyone who dreams of working in games. This message and every compliment we get brightens our day. We’ve reached a goal that you just can’t set on Kickstarter. We want all of our fans and backers to know that we will continue to create “freaking amazing” stuff.

Our fans are so wonderful. Techno Kitten at its core is about love and happiness, and hearing about their experiences just warms us to the core. We’re honored to be a part of you, and A.B.’s, everyday lives. Thank you.

25 Days to Go

What a week. We started our campaign on Sunday night, and have been plugging away at it throughout the week. Thank you to everyone who has contributed; we’re ramping up our efforts to reach out to the gaming community. You can help by spreading the word that our pitch video is perfect to watch while they’re waiting for their Ouyas.

We’re not planning on updating over the weekend, put we will be happy to answer any questions on Monday. But before the weekend, I want to thank everyone at The Creature Blog for spreading our UberHaxorNova kitteh yesterday, you all rock!

First thing’s first: why should you care about Super Techno Kitten Adventure? Because the original kicked a ton of ass, that’s why. It’s one of those intensely happy games that’s super addictive and quite simply, a lot of fun.

Not only that, but the sequel sounds great, with the promise of creating one’s own kitty, multiplayer, 10 new worlds and even more techno music. To that end, the concept video on the Kickstarter page is both amusing and inspiring.

Another kickstarter day, and more love from the twitter verse. Electric Playground’s Ben Silverman tweeted out our link, and we had love from Destructoid, Indiegames.com, and perhaps the most endearing, Asahicon.org. Yay fans! Also, we’re still answering our Reddit AMA.

It’s been a big day for kickstarter & the gaming world. We just hope that among all the indie consoles and indie comic sites raising millions, those big guys remember the indie games that go along with all of it. 28 days from now, we hope to be as funded as they will be. <3

Thanks to everyone who tweeted, face booked & posted our link, http://kck.st/LHHLaa. if you can’t fund us yet, spreading the word is the best way to help, and we truly appreciate it. Now, we’re off to enjoy that occasional taco, get some rest and come back fresh tomorrow. Thank you for being with us in the beginning - we’re just getting started!

Super Techno Kitten Adventure, A Video Games project in New York, NY by 21st Street Games

You know us. We’re developers that brought you one of the most critically acclaimed video games about cats and techno music of all time. We have almost a million players worldwide. We love games. We love music. We love cats. We love to blow your mind.

We want to make Super Techno Kitten, and we need you to help make that happen.

Now, we’d love to keep it all rainbows and sunshine, but there are some grim facts that every TKA fan should be aware of so that they can decide whether or not it is important to back our project and our team. Beyond the original development team, there isn’t much support to continue the series due to budget constraints, shifting agendas and general creative differences. Without our fans stepping in, Techno Kitten Adventure has a bleak outlook. This Kickstarter is just as much about keeping this franchise alive, in the hands of its original creators, as it is about creating the next TKA Game. Without the success of this Kickstarter Campaign, there may never be another TKA game made by the original team. We need your support.

Delayed - Techno Kitten Nyan Cat Pack

Techno Kitten Adventure: Nyan Cat pack update for iOS won’t be released until August. Explanation below this Elevator Nyan Cat, who sums up waiting so perfectly:

The level needs an unforeseen back-end component to be approved, but our lead TKA programmer just left on a well deserved but unfortunately timed vacation. We’re a small studio, these things happen, though we do apologize for getting you hyped a bit prematurely. The wait will be worth it.

Techno Kitten Adventure has over 700,000 units installed across Xbox Indies, iOS, Android & Facebook. We’ve done this on pure fanpower & kitteh love, and we keep you fans in mind with everything we do. Next week we have a huge Techno Kitten announcement coming: make sure you’re on the Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr to hear it first. It’s going to change the game forever. <3
